This week we have a special "guest writer" - Enjoy this word!
While in prayer this word came to me.
That; that was "meaning how we used to be or was"
not to determine what is or to be.
Meaning your history no matter how bad or where you came from is not to influence where you are going in your destiny in God.
It is God that calls things that be not as though they were. Remember it was God that called Abram' Abraham' meaning a father of multitude before he had children. God knows endings as well as beginnings.
God is interested in restoration as well as his destiny for our lives fulfilled. He sees what we can be, knowing where we are even now. He sees the potential in us.
If we as a body of Christ are interested in God's heart that's where it is at.
So a warning to the body of Christ; there will be those that will come in with a bad start that we could reject with gossip and with judgmental attitudes and put them down. But God is raising up leaders who are willing to get messy in order to see a fulfilled destiny in there lives.
Remember it is not where you was that will determine your fulfilled purpose in the plan of God.

Nobody Greater....
The past week has been a devastating time in so many people lives because of the Tornado that hit Glade Spring and surrounding areas. The ones that wasn’t hit by the
Tornado has been crying along with those that have suffered loss.
We lost a family member because of the tornado and we have been mourning our loss. There were 5 in the home when the tornado hit. My cousin Barbara was found in the debres of her own home dead. Her son (Dale) was found laying face down and wasn’t able to move, his wife Anna was found out from their home. The two grandkids Cody and LeAnn managed to walk to the subway looking for help. A truck driver seen them and put them up in his truck and tried to keep them warm by wrapping towels around them. He allowed them to use his cell phone to call for help. Dale is still in the hospital
with a broke neck, shoulder and damage to his back. His wife Anna also has a broke neck with cuts and bruises. LeAnn’s arm was broke and had to have surgery on it. Cody escaped with cuts and bruises. Remember them in your prayers.
When tragedy strikes so many times we question “WHY” did this have to happen. Barbara’s sister called her and ask them to come to her house when they were warned
of the tornado. Barbara told her they would just stay where they were and that God would take care of them.
“Why” did this have to happen to her when she was “trusting” God and for others that didn’t even claim to “know” God as their Lord, they survived the storm. We are human and we always have questions to circumstances. In the Bible: Matthew 5:45 (King James Version)……. for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
God is no respect of person, he loves us all the same, saved or lost. When thinking about what Barbara said right before the storm, “ God will take care of us” and looking at the spiritual side, how much better care than to be in the arms of the Lord.
This world is not our home and we are only passing thru, but sometimes we forget and think we are to be here forever. To be a child of God, going home to Heaven is our goal and we should celebrate when our saved loved ones close their eyes here on earth to open them in heaven. Sure we will miss them, but if we are ready then we will join them one day soon for a grand reunion where we will never have to be separated again.
Every since the tornado has hit, the song “NoBody Greater” has been strong on my heart. The words in the song says:
Nobody can heal... like you canOh most holy one you are the Great I AmAwesome in all your ways and mighty is your handYou are He who carried out redemption's planYou are He who carried out redemption's plan
As bad as the Tornado was… how strong it had to been for it do demolish homes, move big storage trailers from one side of the interstate to the other. Think of how much
Bigger and stronger and Greater God is:
Searched all over... couldn't find nobodyI looked high and low... still couldn't find nobodyNobody greater... nobody greater no... nobody greater than you.
I really believe that something great is going to come out of the situation in Glade Spring, Va. Everyone has been so good to help out and send in food, clothes and money. It seems that all has come together to help those in need. People has come to your door and ask if you need anything. Sunday three different groups came to my mom’s house and gave her a meal. The fire department stopped in front of the house and handed us a case of water and a case of gator aid. Tents are set up all over town giving free food to anyone that needs o/r wants it. Buisness have donated supplies and their time to help clean up.
This is the way it should be all the time, even when it isn’t a disaster. You can see and feel the togetherness in this small hometown. And you can see God’s Love and greatness in the mist of it all. NOBODY GREATHER THEN YOU GOD!

Stronger
WOW what a time this has been over the last several months! Well let's not even say months lets say years, cause when I face reality it's been a rough rough rough time since September of 2009. So many many things have went on in my life since then, I won't even begin to share on here all the things good or bad that have happened. The thing is I was listening to a Mandisa song the other day and it really hit home with me on where I have been for the last 2 years. The song is called Stronger. Here's what has occurred in my mind while even now listening to that song! You always here people say that God will not put more on you that you can bear, well that's not exactly what the scripture says. What the scripture says is this 1 Corinthians 10:13 says in the New Living Translation - - - The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. So I have laughed about this scripture when I hear people saying it to me and I think ok God you must trust me an extreme amount to put everything on me that you have and then I realize if He thinks I can handle all this - well then what He is walking me through is really making me Stronger. I sure don't feel like it in days I have been going through but let me say I have to encourage you that even though the trials seem overwhelming to you - know that what you are going through is only making you stronger!

This little light of mine
So welcome to the first blog of 2011. Wow can you believe it only took six days to get a new blog up.
This morning I was listening to a song by Addison Road called this little light of mine. It was such a powerful reminder to me that we need to be a light into this world and let it shine brightly and to not hide it under a bush.
Next week our church is going to be doing a 21 day fast and for most of us it will be the Daniel Fast. This made me think about the children I teach in STIR student ministries at the church and as I began talking with them about the fast they wanted to participate.
So I became really excited to hear their excitement about wanting to do this fast. It wasn't just that though, it was the fact that children are who Jesus taught us we should come to Him as and so it makes me excited to see what is going to happen by their participation in this fast, and also to know their excitement about the new name we gave the children's ministry.
So all the things that you have been facing lately. Just take a second and realize that we need to let our lights shine, and whatever your going through, the light that we are shining is their for you, and Christ can and will take care of everything, and just rely on Him. He is equipping us in this journey and the storms we face today will be fuel to add to our flame as we let our lights shine into the future.
Blessing
